Do you get tired of explaining Alpha-Gal Syndrome to restaurant staff every time you go out to eat? I know I do! It often leaves me feeling less than confident that I will be getting a SAFE meal! It also usually leaves the staff feeling confused about what I can and can’t eat. Let’s be honest, Alpha-Gal Syndrome is a COMPLEX condition. Most people without this allergy will not understand the complexity of it and will not understand what is and isn’t safe. That’s why I made the Alpha-Gal Food Allergy Restaurant Card!
It’s an easy to understand reference guide to help restaurant staff understand what is and isn’t safe. It also outlines common food ingredients that most wouldn’t realize are derived from mammals. This card is a useful tool but as always we have to do our dudiligence to ensure our safety. Ask questions, check ingredients, and make sure the chef is confident they can prepare SAFE food for you!
